JEFF The Brotherhood are at the top of my new favorite bands list, I love everything about em (well, except their ironic mustaches… not backin’ those which is why I picked a shot of them clean shaven) These guys have been making music together since they were in their early teens; Tennessee born brothers Jake and Jamin Orall are perhaps best known for their roles in Be Your Own Pet, and now they’re pretty much what I’d call a well-oiled machine designed to kick ass and pump out killer tunes. Their influences are straight on their sleeves and at the same time… all over the place! They’re stealing from The Jesus Lizard, Blur, Smashing Pumpkins, Kraftwerk, The Ramones and Jawbreaker’s “Kiss the Bottle” is straight ripped off on “Mellow Out”. But hey it’s only rock n’ roll…. New Buddyhead drinking game: Take a shot every time you read a so-called music journalist drop a lazy Weezer comparison on We Are the Champions which will be out June 21 via Infinity Cat Records. JEFF the Brotherhood's new collection of songs, “We Are The Champions”, came out back on June 21.
